Invisalign® Frequently Asked Questions

QWhat Should I Do if I Accidentally Damage an Aligner?

Do not try to force a warped or broken aligner back onto your teeth. Instead, give us a call right away. If you were only a few days away from being able to move on to the next aligner in your series, we might suggest that you begin to wear it a little earlier than planned. Or, if you were closer to the beginning of your time with the damaged aligner, we might recommend that you go back to wearing a previous aligner until we can order a replacement for you.

QDoes Invisalign® Cause Pain?

Invisalign® is more comfortable than traditional metal braces, but you can still expect a little bit of soreness, particularly when you switch to a new aligner. Sipping on cool water, taking an over-the-counter pain reliever, and switching to a new aligner at night can all help to mitigate any discomfort.
